An engineer I know--PhD type who works strictly in the automotive world--put together some info on nitrogen in tires a while back: http://home.comcast.net/~prestondrake/N2_for_tires_FAQ.htm

His conclusion: absolutely no benefit. Anyway, it's interesting reading. Take a look and decide.

^ Very good read!
I amaze people daily when I tell them the average composition of atmospheric air. I also explain that the ones that are seeing these "huge" gains in fuel economy, tire life etc... are the ones that DO NOT reguarly check the tire pressure.
