Angry Q- Nitrogen in Tires

I saw a picture by armoredsaint (re: wheel locks)he posted a picture of a tire/wheel. I'm curious.. (see picture) the valve stem, I 'd be curious where the heck can I get the green ring? (any ideas??) (I spoke with armoredsaint, he said it was a stock pic from jeep)

I had mine filled-- at dealer, and they took my caps and gave me these chrome / green fancy covers.. I had to rebuy the factory OEM covers from just4jeeps to replace them. (and i dipped the tips in green testors paint) but the harsh winters ate them off..

so now that I see rings that exist.. I need them =)

**yes I'm OCD**

Re: Q- Nitrogen in Tires

My 2012 Overland, same wheels as in the picture didn't come with the green rings. I'm OCD too and believe me I would have noticed and I just checked too. Hmm, did others get green rings? I might want those too if they serve a purpose...prevent slow leaks maybe? Protect the valve from damage?

Re: Q- Nitrogen in Tires

the green is supposed to mean it was filled with nitrogen.

but you can add air to it if need be.

ONE THING......the TPMS is all part of the valve stem so NEVER USE A METAL CAP unless you protect the tthreads some way like anti sieze otherwise the metal cap will GALL to the tpoms and in ayear they are done.

I am anal about caps but I buy Schwinn ones from the 60s for my WK. they are rubber and slide on so they protect the threads. I got green ones when i had hydrogen.

Here you go, use these with the OEM factory valve caps:

Re: Q- Nitrogen in Tires

If I ever need air I'll go to my compressor and fill it up - some of those places that charge for it is crazy.

ETA: that's not a stock pic from Jeep, I took that pic on my JGC

It means you're a Tier 1 Operator

I think it depended how much the auto workers had to drink or smoke weed during lunch again

Re: Q- Nitrogen in Tires

5 green o-rings exactly what you are looking for $2 on eBay and you "are trying to not buy on eBay" and you want another forum member to buy them for you????

Is that like trying to not buy anything from WalMart out of some principle????

Guess you really don't want these so bad...good luck with that...
