I installed my RRO roof rails and cross bars this weekend. While I was at it I decided to see how the Sahara JK rims would look plasti dipped black. On the first one I tried the silver metalizer to try and get a gunmetal color. The color was OK but it was so shiny it looked terrible, so i decided to leave them matte black. I think I like it better than the stock silver color. The rack was a piece of cake to install and feels very solid.
I haven't had it on the interstate yet, but so far at 55 mph and less I haven't noticed any noise. I just have the 2 cross bars and not the full rack, and they are mounted as far apart as they will go.
I took mine off and its for sale. If you want my fairing it does help reduce the noise, would separate. Noise is also reduced with front bar moved back but the gap between bars is very small then.
