Do all the passports use basically same detecting technology? Is there any advantage getting the 9500 vs the 8500 besides the GPS?

Crestwood1001 is an unknown quantity at this point
Not really, if you wanna get technical, depending o where you live the gps is worth it, but for the same amount or less you get get the V1 which is superior on K band detection

Crestwood1001,

You are not even an Advanced member on our forum. You are an intermediate member of our forum (I am not sure how much longer we will allow you access to that level after seeing your claims here). You may be friends with a an ECCTG member, but that doesn't make you a member of ECCTG. You haven't been on our forum in four months. However, I must say we have taught you well. The information about radar detectors you posted here is correct.

So than that person goes back to the fuzz busters site and pm"s a mod over there about some guy on the jeep forum who God forbid claims he something he may or may not be. So than that mod joins the jeep forum just so that he can rain on some guys parade. Holy shit people get a life who cares. I mean what the hell is this kindergerten. Teacher, Teacher hes looking at me funny make him stop!!!

Re: radar detector install

I have the Passport 9500ix in my Overland, i love it. I've had many experiences with radars, and the 9500ix is by far the best.

Also, if i am not wrong, beltronics is owned by passport?
