Good question ... what did you do and how did it hold up? What did you do with the lettering?

Re: Rear Brow Removal?

This is an awesome thread. Thank you to all of you who contributed info. I'm going to buy the brilliant black part today, without the camera cut out, and just change the panel. It would be nice if I could just buy the panel and the button since that's all I'll be using, but I'll take what I can get. Maybe I can put the chrome panel on the part I'm not using and sell it

Re: Rear Brow Removal?

Hi Guys, I know this thread is a little old, but I just bought a 'new to me' 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'm new to the Jeep fam and excited for this forum and all the helpful people who chime in to allow us to pimp our rides the best we can!

I was wondering if there is a way to get the rear 'brow' aka chrome strip above the license plate... in Brilliant Black BUT, not with the 'JEEP' letters in black, keeping the JEEP letters still in chrome (similar to the 2015 models). How can I do this?

I see on the forum links to the Altitude ALL black versions of the brow / rear chrome strip turned all black, but I can't find a solution to get it brilliant black but keep the JEEP lettering in chrome.

Thanks for any advice!

How can I send mine to Scott? I would love to do that as well. I've been online the last week searching for how to make my rear brow black, but keep the JEEP letters in Chrome haha. Please advise!

Yup, that's Scott's Paint and Performance in the vendor section of this board. Great service, careful work, fair pricing, and it's held up great after a couple of years. It honestly looks stock - I've had 2014+ GC drivers look at my car all confused when they see my tail first (I have a sharkfin antenna too) and then get up front and realize I don't have the same front end as they do.
