Remote start

2012 Overland...somewheres I read that if you remote start your vehicle when the temperature gets low that your steering wheel and drivers seat heat turns on automatically. Is this true and where can I find this info?

Re: Remote start

Not sure about the 2012's, but I know it does in our 2014 summit.

Remote Start Comfort Systems — If Equipped
When remote start is activated, the heated steering
wheel, and driver heated seat features will automatically
turn on in cold weather. In warm weather, the driver
vented seat feature will automatically turn on when the
remote start is activated. These features will stay on
through the duration of remote start or until the ignition
switch is turned to the ON/RUN position.
The Remote Start Comfort System can be activated and
deactivated through the Uconnect® system. For more
information on Remote Start Comfort System operation
refer to “Uconnect®” in “Understanding Your Instrument
Panel”.

While your posting is accurate it is not complete. The heated steering wheel and heated seat will only come on upon start if it is 40 degrees or below and the ventilated seat will only come on if it is 80 degrees or above. What drives this system crazy is if you park in a garage. If you park in a garage usually neither of those temperatures are reached and you have to turn things on manually.
