Remotely control 12v power?

Is it possible to plug in a light to the rear cigarette lighter in the trunk area BUT be able to operate it from the drivers seat? Looking for a simple method to turn it on and off without running a ton of wire or having a professional do it.

Im looking for a solution to mounting some interior LED's in my jeep (strobes for FD).

I dont want to damage my car by drilling into it or pay to get something mounted since im probably selling in under a year anyway. Most strobe lights are powered by a 12v cigarette plug.

An idea about the product im talking about and how it is powered

Very interesting. I need to figure out how to do some of the wiring but that could work. I also found something like this

The idea being just running cigarette lighter extension cables from the front to the rear. Its not ideal but it also requires 0 messing with the electrical

What about just using an extension cable. Plug it in when required.

Thats sort of what I was thinking as well. Maybe pairing it with something like this http://www.amazon.com/Cigarette-INNO...ghter+splitter so I can have access to both the rear and front facing LED's at the touch of a button rather than having to plug/unplug everytime.

I have to figure out how to run the wire and where to hide it so it doesnt look too out of place.
