Re: Removal of chrome side strips. How to?

So I'm ok with removing the chrome strips, but want to know how easy or difficult it is to apply the SRT GC decals?

Thanks
Oz

All the rest of the badges and logos will come off even easier than the side strips with the fishing line (I used 65 lb. line) and a hair dryer.

Looks great! Can I ask what kind of glue you used? Does it come with the decals? Does it come with a template of some sort to make sure the letters line up?

See my thread I recently started with pictures. I removed the chrome strips and put the SRT Grand Cherokee letters on. The Grand Cherokee letters come on a plastic strip so there is no worries about lining up each individual letter. Just put them where you want them and your good. Im pretty picky and I wanted mine in the exact spot that Jeep puts them on the SRT8. If you go through my thread I even post a picture with dimensions of where they should be mounted.
I have had my chrome strips removed for weeks now and no regrets at all. LOVE the look!

Here is the link. Some additional pictures may be on the 2nd or 3rd page.

Side moulding removed, letters added. Mineral Grey Overland. High quality pics!
