Removed Chrome Moldings

After seeing some in this forum, I went for the letters. Glad I did. Love it!

Looks great! One of the things on my to do (to fund?) list. One thing I'm not looking forward to is cleaning between the letters , especially on a stone white :/

Looks great, nice job.! What did you do to ensure proper placement?

Re: Removed Chrome Moldings

I found another thread where someone had taken measurements off a jeep from a dealer to get accurate placement. Side moulding removed, letters added. Mineral Grey Overland. High quality pics!

Nahhhhh. If your parking in areas where door dings can occur then its going to happen regardless if you have those chrome strips or not. I am very careful wth where I park my cars and have not once received a ding on any car I have owned in 17 years of driving. Park like everyone else and your gonna get dings. I will never park in a spot where cars can park on both sides of me and especially in high traffic lots. Your just asking for it then.

i considered this an issue as well but after really looking at it...the strip does protect from driver and passenger doors from other vehicles and DOES NOT most rear doors from others as they almost always hit above the chrome strip. I haven't removed mine but I plan to at some point.

Re: Removed Chrome Moldings

The ding I got on the driver's door was above the chrome strip as well. Only two weeks after I bought it! That's what convinced me to take mine off.
