Removing "airbag warning" sticker

Hey all:

after the amount of time spent in traffic --- I finally was able to get the obnoxious "air-bag warning" sticker off of the visor on the driver side.

I have seen other threads where some people who were able to clean this up; but I do not know what adhesive remover would clean this mess from the visor. Seeing that it is the same material as the head liner, I am not sure what would clean this up without making a mess.

Any thoughts?

As in a Fels-Naphta bar?

Or; a water-mix with Naphta?

Re: Removing "airbag warning" sticker

No matter what you try, at the right angle and lighting, you will always see the outline/impression of where the sticker originally was located. The only proper way would be to buy visors from European WK2's since they don't require the same stickers on their visors. But that would cost hundreds of dollars.

Has anyone located a good source, part #'s, etc. for the European visors? I would buy them in a heartbeat for my SRT after the debacle I went through on my first one getting the stickers off the visors (alcantara/suede). So far I haven't had any luck finding a source. Would really like to buy the headlights without the orange corner markers as well if possible.

VM & P Naphtha .
Use it straight from the container using a lint free cloth. Water will stain the sun visor.
You can also use naphtha to remove any other stains from the headliner .

Hmm, I've never heard of VM & P Naphtha before. It's safe to use on the visors and headliner?

Might be over the top but what would a new visor cost?

Providing it doesn't have the sticker on it.

Could be an option.

A specialty leather goods cleaning shop/tannery [not a chain] any good at getting that gunk off?

In the US, it would include the sticker. It's a federal law.
