Removing Flaps from Front Fascia?

Hey Guys -- I noticed the "flaps" on both sides of the lower front fascia are attached with clips and rivets. I already scuffed them up real good off road so I was thinking of just removing them. Seems like it would add a few inches front clearance as well. Has anyone done this? How does it look with them off?

Hey Barboots -- How did you remove the rivets? Do you need to grind and drill them or can you just pull them out?

Re: Removing Flaps from Front Fascia?

Nah they are the ones that you pull up the inside bit to disengage. Try a precision screwdriver to get it started, then use sidecutters / diags held loosely closed to pry them up.

Cheers,
Steve

Yep got rid of mine long ago. Looks better and off road they were just begging to get ripped off anyway.
