Re: Replace Cabin Air Filter --- Just Do It!!!

Does anyone know the difference between the carbon ones (gray) vs the white ones?

Uh, err, um....carbon?

EDIT: but seriously, ya they have activated carbon for odor eliminating vs just dust and dirt. The impregnated carbon absorbs odors as well as the normal filter fibers doing their filtering of particulates like dust and pollen.

Re: Replace Cabin Air Filter --- Just Do It!!!

Got it. I've bought both non carbon on previous vehicle and wife's Camry I got the carbon. So I think I will go with carbon on the jeep.

Re: Replace Cabin Air Filter --- Just Do It!!!

They are pricey though. I'll hit 20k possibly by December so I got time to decide.

I kinda stereotype it....city folk and industry laden Midwest and Northeast should use the best odor filter in their price range and the Westerners and Southerners just need particulate filters...in general

Re: Replace Cabin Air Filter --- Just Do It!!!

I went with the carbon version this time around...it was $20 instead of $10 so no big deal.

Re: Replace Cabin Air Filter --- Just Do It!!!

I buy them via Amazon.com. I'm not sure what you mean by "How long was the cabin air filters for everyone..." Please clarify what you are asking.

Walked out of my dealer's parts department with it immediately after I paid for it.

Re: Replace Cabin Air Filter --- Just Do It!!!

Yep Jacko I guess I could've done that also, didn't think of it and I was wondering if they had the one with charcoal, arm and hammer, power windows and splash guards like everyone's been saying. It's kinda hard to stuff all that in the little slot 😂😂😂😂😂
