replacing cargo bulbs

i am upgrading the interior lights to led and i was wondering how to remove the rear cargo lights to replace the bulbs, do you have to remove the cargo panel or can the lens just be popped off? Thanks

*Is the cargo bulbs 212 type or 194 type? im getting conflicting information as to what type is in there.*

Hey gc4x4.

I got my LEDs from Ken at Tail light Solutions but I'm not sure what type they are so perhaps he can help.

As for replacing them, the best piece of advice I got was to get a set of the plastic trim tools. Look on WK2jeeps.com and find the PDF for the removal of the tailgate trim. It's pretty easy with the right tools. You will need to do this to release the wires at the rear of the socket.

I also found that you need to pop off the lense covers once you have freed up the light fitting. They only fit back on one way but it's all pretty simple and if I can work it out I'm sure anyone can.

This is a pic of the trim tools I was talking about.

Hope I've helped.

Clarkey.
