Just trying to get a feel of how difficult it might be if I decide to do it once I have my truck for a few months.

What are you going to replace it with???? It's not like the laredos get silver and the overlands get the copper it is the same color in all the cars.

That is the only color it comes in, if you don't like the color you will have to have it repainted to a color you like.

he could probably by the silver trim pieces that fit the 14' Summit with the black/silver interior.

I might take them off and get them repainted with an aluminum colored trim paint. But if i do end up doing it, it will more than likely be that I will be getting the sliver colored trim from the black summit interior. You can see the two trim colors in the images below.

Burrogs is on a distinguished road
I was soooo glad my summit came with the silver trim. That said, it's probably not worth the $$$ or effort to replace.

Re: Replacing copper trim on MY14 overland with silver trim

I am waiting for my truck to get delivered to see how it difficult it looks to make the swap/repaint. I think the silver trim gives the black interior more character and stands out more. Only thing now that might be tricky is the removal of the new shifter to get that part of the trim off.

Oops my bad.... didin't know they were doing silver for the black interior....

but I need to see that silver in person

The picture makes it look like when you paint something with chrome paint.

Re: Replacing copper trim on MY14 overland with silver trim

So after taking delivery and driving around in it for a few days, I don't mind the gold/copper tone on the trim. It's actually does not look bad at all. Guess it was one of those things where I had to see it in person.

Same here. I actually like it more than the silver now.
