Re: Reverse LED question with pictures.

Mine was a half hour. Maybe 10 minutes of that was coming in to find out to remove the panel instead of the 10mm nuts for the inside rear bulbs. Figure 20 to 30 minutes

Re: Reverse LED question with pictures.

For best result go with VLEDs 5000k led bulbs for the reverse lights.

Those look pretty decent and overall sort of similar to the Putco bulbs referred to on this thread. Only problem is they seem to be even more pricey than the Putco bulbs. According to the site they are $23 each for the 921s, and $25 a piece for the 7440s. So thats going to end up being over $100 after shipping. I like VLEDs as I have always been a huge fan of their V3 Triton bulbs, but one issue I always had with them is half the time stuff is out of stock. So you order it, and may end up getting the product a month or two later, atleast thats how it was with the V3 Tritons. Some of the 921 and 7440 stuff says out of stock right now. Either way I think I'm gonna be real happy with the Putco bulbs.

Yeah I'm gonna dump the Phillips 921 and get the putco. Last night input tape over the putco 7440s then the Phillips 921. Putco puts out a heck of a lot more light! That's what I get for trying to save 25 bucks with the Phillips lol

Not sure on the putco now. Been looking at vled instead. They have 500 lumen vs 85 on the putco. What I'm hesitating on is wondering if the heat would mess up the housings?

Was the Original LED bulb setup you had pretty bright at least?

They ship from Canada. Takes awhile.

Ehh that cant be right, there is no way VLED is 500 and Putco 85 Lumens. Guys that have installed the Putco plasmas say its like HID headlights...So I'm not sure where you got that info, but I would say the output would be very similar between the two. Heat wont be an issue, remember these are LEDs. Yes they can get warm, but the old bulb is a filament bulb which gets downright hot. Plus, even if the LED bulbs got hot, just how long do you plan on driving in reverse? lol

Yes absolutely, the output of the Philips 921 and the Sylvania Zevo 7440 was great, but there was an ever so slight color difference between the two even though they were both advertised as 6000k. Most people would have been fine with them, but I have weird OCD issues lol. But again, yes they were bright enough. Infact, I ended returning the Sylvania Zevo bulbs and was running JUST the inner Philips 921 reverse lights and even just though provided enough light by themselves. I think thats how the import WK2 is anyway as the outer lenses are dedicated turn signals, so those don't even have reverse lights in the outer lens.
