Rigid Industries Dually Placement

I want to place two rigid industries dually flood and two dually spot on the back of the famous jeep grill. On their seven openings i am thinking of leaving the middle one empty and the two the left (one flood and one spot) and two for the right (one flood and one spot).
My question is why has no one tried this, i know they will be in the back of the mesh but i think it will still throw some light. And it wont be down like other people have it in between the tow hooks, so their will be a good angel to work with.

I would like to hear your comments on this. Please dont worry about electrical installment, i just want to know if you think it wil work good and if it is a good place to mount them. thanks in advance....

Re: Rigid Industries Dually Placement

I forgot to mention that they are the perfect size and fit perfectly in each space in the grill.

Re: Rigid Industries Dually Placement

I did it.. The outer slots won't work without much trimming.

Re: Rigid Industries Dually Placement

Behind slot 1 and 7, there's something like and air dam. Behind slot 2 and 6, there's not enough space between the grille and the radiator, at least with my diesel engine. And everything higher mounted than on my picture will not work without cutting the grille. I first had it on the slots 2 and 6 but cutted the grille.

The light output isn't that good behind the grille, but its okay for my needs.

Re: Rigid Industries Dually Placement

thanks, i have pentastar v6 i have to check my space.
but from what i see you dont have cutted out the grill inserts in 2 and 6? or did you replace them....also apart from the ¨looks¨ what would be the problem of cutting some part or all the grill inserts of where they will be placed?

Re: Rigid Industries Dually Placement

thanks for your pictures, but i know that speaking only by angle, putting them so low don't work as well as high in between the headlights, i just want to know if when snwbrdr cutted the inserts was it worth it...did the lights do better job as with behind the grill?
because i know that the dually from rigid industries do work, i just want to know how much do they die by been being the grill, because if it is worth it i am thinking of cutting the grill.
