Roof Basket

My wife really likes the look of those roof baskets you see around. I have not found one that is specific for the WK2's. Has anyone found one that they really like and fits our trucks?
and
What cross bars did you use as well?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Roof Basket

Either one of these two will fit. I have mopar cross bars but others use Thule or Yakima. Just do a quick search on the forum and you will find plenty of threads addressing this subject.

Re: Roof Basket

If you actually want a basket, and not an enclosed carrier...

Re: Roof Basket

yea, I look at RRO for the rack and cross bars. Kinda expensive, but ok with that.
I have a carrier, She wants the basket looking thing.
I thinking something like this. http://www.rocky-road.com/grandrack.html
it just does not list the WK2. I bet it will still work.

Re: Roof Basket

I went with the yakima loadwarrior to hold my oversized spare. I looked at RRO's rack but more than I wanted to spend.

I've got the Kuat Vagabond. I like it because it hassle lower profile than the Yakima and Thule versions. And on top of that with the built in skewer mounts for two bikes it adds some additional functionality. I went camping recently with friends, had two mt bikes and cargo on top and two bikes on the hitch mount. Worked out great.

Re: Roof Basket

I like the look of the Rola. Looks beefy. Can't find the load rating though.

Do you have another picture of the vagabond on your WK2? Maybe from the front? I think I want to put one of those on mine.

Your truck looks good!

Re: Roof Basket

Well I went with the RRO Rails and cross bars. I also ordered the Rola rack.
So, last thing I need is the tires and the re-work is almost ready to get started
