They needed to be able to come in closer together to fit the narrower rails vs my Commander. Easy job but I wonder if even longer Aero bars would need the same modification. Thule also recommends a maximum bar spread of 700 mm (27.55") for reduced wind noise.
What's the total height above the roof of the vehicle? Thanks.

Fireon, did you get the 4019kit from REI? I was following your & Moosehead's threads and ready to order. Couldn't locate 4019kit on REI and had a Online Chat with their Thule Agent. They had the new number, not the old 4019kit and wasn't sure if new number worked in place of 4019kit. I'm thinking you got the new kit and all worked great.

As a bonus, Discovered REI has a 20% off on all Thule sale in May, instead of just 1 item as current sale... if that helps future purchases for all, referenced in chat below.

REI Agent OnLine Chat:
Dave L: We don't carry the older numbers anymore. It is our #772689. We would have to special order it from Thule for you.

Dave L: We don't have them in our stores either, sorry.

Please click the link to view http://www.rei.com/search?query=799939|799940&button.x=0&button.y=0
Dave L: These are the new versions. 4019 isn't part of this system.

Dave L: You could call Thule tomorrow at 800-238-2388 to see what they say.
Dave L: Thule changed their fit kits last year and their are a number of gaps.

Doug J: Ok, I was attempting to use your 20% discount on the rack asmb.

Dave L: The 20% is for only one full priced item.

Dave L: So you'd get the Podium at the discount.

Doug J: Hmmm... OK, well thank you for all your time & attention.

Dave L: We will have all of Thule at 20% off in our Aniversary sale, May 20 - 30.

For those hunting for the 460R Rapid Podium pak, while Online with REI I grabbed that too.
Mollie B: Here's the page to order the Thule 460R Rapid Podium Foot Pak.

Re: Roof Rack

We tried to get the 20% discount at REI for the 4019, but they wouldn't honor it, saying it's not a stock item. Bruce

Re: Roof Rack

I bought my 4019 kit from Rack Warehouse. They held my order until they received inventory and then shipped promptly. They showed it on their website as standard inventory. They did mention they had a backorder situation at the time I placed my order due to it being a new item for Thule. I just took the rack off this morning but will put it back on for pics in the next couple of days.

Re: Roof Rack

Here are some promised pics of the Thule Aero bars (measuring 54 1/2" wide). No frontal view as these were taken nearing sunset. There is one showing the rubber coated internals which I did not have before on the Commander. A nice touch for Thule I thought.

fireron,
How is the wind noise with the areo bars, I just installed my thule setup with 58 inch square bars and my fold down kayak stackers on it. Driving to work, noticed some considerable wind noise. Thinking of getting a fairing as it doesn't seem to be a quick process to remove and install them everytime I want to paddle.

Re: Roof Rack

Thule recommends the 700mm (27.55 ") spread, with the rear shifted all the way to the back then measured forward for low noise. I drove it that way and then opened the spread up to a max of 31.5" I think. Noise increased to a measurable degree with the wider spread. I have not attached my Thule Ascent box yet so this is only with the empty Aero bars. In the future, I will add the box and adjust the spread to Thule's recommendation. I cannot have the rear Aero bar set at its most rearward position due to the hatch hitting it upon opening (I measured). At Thule's recommended spread and empty, turbulance was quite minimal but I will never drive it that way as it is too easy to remove the rack to just leave it on without the box (not very sleek either). I'll report the noise with the box on in the future. I have the fairing but have not used it yet. It only took me less than 5 minutes to install and remove mine but then I don't get to use it as often as I would like that is for sure. I might want to leave it on if I used it more often.

Try removing the Kayak mounts and see if it makes a difference. I know you have a fairing and your mounts are folded down, but they could still be catching some wind. I dont get a lot of noise from the mopar bars, but as soon as i mount the kayak carries (i have the thule fold down ones) its pretty loud. They are pretty easy to take on and off so i just put them on when i go kayaking....kind of defeats the purpose of them folding down but...i like the option? lol.

The Mopar ones are nice...but you are limited to what you can fit on them depending on if you can find the right mounts our not. I would love to go back to Thule since that is what i always used but i dont want to spend over $300 just to swap my bars out. My Thule Kayak mounts work perfect with the mopar bars so i will stick with them for now. Just used my REI dividend and 20% on a hitch mounted bike rack...me likey!!
