RRO Kit Question - Side Skirt Delete?

I just lifted my 2014 Altitude with the RRO 2.5 inch kit. I went with 17x8.5 AEV Pintlers wrapped in 33" Toyo Tires with 1.75" spacers all around.

I had to do some major cutting on my front bumper and inside of my fenders. I am still rubbing in the rear part of my front fender on the tip of the side skirt. The rubbing already lead to ripping out one of the clips that holds it on there.

Do you think I can do a side skirt delete or would it show frame? Also, does any company make a part to replace the side skirts with something like a rock rail?

Any input would be useful. Thank you guys.

Re: RRO Kit Question - Side Skirt Delete?

I attached a picture. If you look closely you will be able to see what I am talking about. There is a part of the side skirt that juts out behind the front tire. That is what I am rubbing on and it prevents me from making tight turns.

You should just get rid of the spacers instead. This car doesn't play well with negative offsets.

take a look here at how true 33x12.5's fit with a 20x9 +18 offset wheel. All he had to do was bend in the pinch weld. nothing else major.

Re: RRO Kit Question - Side Skirt Delete?

I think skunkd is right, get rid of the spacers. My tires do hit the felt liner at the rear of the fenderwell at full lock, but not the actual side skirt, I suppose if I had spacers it might though.

Look at some of the threads on the rock rails, I think they may give a little more clearance...

BTW.. Jeep looks great!
