running board exits

Is it true that getting out of a JGC with running boards gets your pants dirty on the running boards?

Re: running board exits

If you don't use them, yes. If you're standing on them, your pants should be above them... or you need to hem your duds.

Cheers,
Steve

Yes if they are dirty and you don't step on them or rub against them while getting in and out! I just try to avoid rubbing against the chrome edge but most of the time my boards are clean.

Re: running board exits

Short answer: YES, but really only when you get out. That is because you may not use them as often as you would when getting in.

I had custom rock rails on my ZJ, made by a company in AZ, that protected but also served as side steps. Never really happened until I left the cabin.
