Re: Running boards

Ok, so the pics are all up! Didn't wanna go off topic on this thread, so made a new one here:
Ionic Running Boards <- Plasti Dipped -> Rear Chrome Brow & Reverse Light LEDs

That has the plasti dipped running boards, and installed. The chrome brow, with "Jeep" still in chrome, and reverse light LEDs.

Looking forward to your pics as well, CB.

Re: Running boards

Mine are Westin after market boards. They are good for my wife, not so much for me as I step over them to get in/out.

Re: Running boards

they are the same chassis, to me they look more nicer.

Running boards

I've looked at them a hundred times but never with a tape measure. While there is a huge amount of similarity and they're somewhat born of the same design there are massive differences in the excecution. DC bastardized so much of the chassis in the name of cheap assedness I doubt it. But I haven't looked underneath. If the length was right the mounts could be fabbed but The Benz units are so flush fit that if the lines of the body aren't absolutely identical they would look bad, and while both bodysides look straight, I doubt they are. I find them more look effective than actually useful. I'll get under one for some pics this week.

I have these on my '11 Overland. They are very high quality. It's been parked next to a ML and they are near identical. They are moulded to fit perfectly with the narrow fender moldings on an Overland or Limited. Even the dealer staff came out to look at them and were impressed.

Ouch, those are pricey, especially coming from overseas. Any pics of them on your vehicle? These look better than the other ones I've seen on this thread.

Re: Running boards

Daughter has that Jeep at school, but I'll get some pics. Yes, they are from overseas, but they are rock solid and high quality.

This is the second set I've tried. The first set was from Broadfeet. They started to rust after a year. There is no comparison in the quality. These have been on for two years and look like new. We bought my wife a '16 Summit (and gave the '11 Overland to our daughter) and these won't work with the Summit cladding, otherwise I'd do these boards again on the '16

Re: Running boards

I just bought a pair of 4" tubular aries bars to put on a 2015 Altitude - Will post pics after the install this friday. Cost was just under $300 out the door with installation from 4 wheels parts in Dallas.

Thanks, did you install them yourself? How hard was it?

I found a different seller (there are a lot actually) that had the same ones and made a somewhat low offer and it was accepted. Thanks for the reassurance.
