Yup, I posted a pic of those almost a year ago. Looks nice though.

Re: Running boards

I wonder if they will ever offer power running boards. This feature will not take much away from ground clearance and will be convenient when needed.

Re: Running boards

Just curious, how different are the panels (the lower sill) between the WK and WK2? I take it the running board from a WK will not fit on a WK2, but what are the reasons? Mounting positions? Panel work?

The WK2 has a longer wheelbase than the WK so they will not fit.

Re: Running boards

My dealer called me today. Now he says Chrysler has pushed the date back to February for the OEM running boards. What a bunch of clowns, I've basically given up!

Re: Running boards

I wonder, if properly done it would work to have a chrome grill painted? I might just try it. My company has all the facilities to do it.

If it has any wax remove it with a solvent.
Prep it with scotchbrite.
Paint dealer can recommend a system. (PPG is what we use).
Primer is critical.

What is the worst that could happen?

I think you have to add something to the paint for flexing.
Like it you were painting a plastic bumper.

I think the more pertinent question is what does this have to do with running boards, which is the topic of this thread?

This is truely disappointing and the sad part is, no one else has stepped up to manufacture an alternative so we are stuck.

Re: Running boards

I wish Mopar got it right the next try! I will buy them if it looks like the BMW or MB type! But, is it too much to ask for it?
