Those aren't the Dee Zee's... they are similar, and i guess can be used to give an idea. There are differences though. Also, Dee Zee will give you the option to powder coat the edge black instead of chrome. Of course there is a big $$$ difference also...

Re: Running boards 2014 Summit

If you're thinking of powder coating the chrome strip on the outside of the running board, think about a couple things--the horizontal chrome mirrors the chrome at the bottom and top of the window line; and, if actual entry and exit are concerns, chrome is more visible at night.

I'm lovin' my Westins, installed by Tim's Trim in Rochester, NY.

Any chance of posting some pics, I have the 2014 cherry red Overland and would be great to see what the Westin steps look like.

Re: Running boards 2014 Summit

I'll try to get a pic of my Westins, but the truck is dirty. Also I'll have to learn how to post a pic on this site....it may be a day or three.

Re: Running boards 2014 Summit

Nice but do they ever scrape in the entry/exit position when you park next to a curb?

Re: Running boards 2014 Summit

Never had a problem w/ anything like a scrape and I've parked close to some high curbs recently. The only concern I have is that, while I like the chrome "pipe" look on the outside, I am going to apply a strip of skateboard tape on the chrome "pipe" on the passenger side to assist my wife w/ traction in inclement weather. When the truck is clean, and when you can see the chrome strip and the chrome trim over and under the windows, it just all goes together.

Re: Running boards 2014 Summit

They look very functional vs. the skinny Mopar bars. I'm not a fan of their appearance though. I still want to see the Mopar running boards in person.
