Re: Running boards

Chi-Town,
How are you liking those in winter the 4" rhinos? Are they slick in snow? Are they usable as an actual step or do they just look good aesthetically?

Thanks!

Re: Running boards

I have a set that I'm trying to sell. They are chrome factory ones off a 2014 Summit. Make me an offer.

Re: Running boards

In my case I'm looking for black. Why are you selling them, are they not working out to your satisfaction?

I bought the jeep used and don't like them. I did a chrome delete on my Summit.

Sorry, just saw your post...... I bought them because the wife is short

Had similar ones on my 2011 and she has some on her 2012.

They are fully functional, now that we're in winters grip, they still work well, the black part is textured rubber so the snow doesn't stick, no slipping and the extra width makes a big difference now that we're wearing boots.

Re: Running boards

Just bought a 2014 Grand Limited and am wanting Stainless Steel Nerf bars to help my 82-year old mother get into my vehicle. Chux Trux ordered me 5" low profile ( wanted 4" and not low-profile) Rhino's that just came in today. My fear is "low-profile" and the 5" width. I like the look of your 4-inch bars. You appear to have gone through a few of these, so if you have any expert advice, I'm all ears.

Re: Running boards

I'm with you and at a loss on which bars are better. I have a 2014 Limited, and the installer ordered the 5" low-profile Rhinos for me (although I wanted the regular 4"). I haven't had them installed yet because they seem kind of big for an SUV, and I have no idea what it means by "low-profile". Does that mean they are going to sit a foot below (slight sarcasm) the edge of the vehicle?

I actually ended up getting the 4" Go Rhino's. I'm happy with the way they look, but think that the 5" actually would've been better, just for ease of use. The 4" are just barely wide enough in my opinion. So, hind sight is 20/20, but I'd go with the 5's. JMO.
