Re: Running boards

I have a line on the OEM steps but the dealer says, according to their computers, they will not fit the Summit. Has anyone actually installed the Jeep brand side bars on a Summit with or without skid plates? I do not see why they would not fit but I don't want to risk buying if they end up not fitting. You should believe the computer but who knows. The skid plates may or may not impact compatibility.

Here's a few pics of my tubular side steps I just installed on my 2014 summit yesterday. Another option for you folks out there.

Re: Running boards

I put a set on purely for stopping people hitting my doors in car parks. Got them off ebay and are identical to the tubular items shown above, for well under half the cost over here in Australia..They can scuff your leg back if not watching yourself, but I have no dents in the doors...LOL..

Re: Running boards

I ordered the ionic running boards for my 2014 grand Cherokee limited took about 2 hrs to install my self and they look great. Ordered them from auto customs and got a great deal at $275 free shipping and no tax also ordered another set for a family member for xmas. They started at the best price of $305 but did a little back and forth and said I needed to think about it and then dropped the price to $275 they fit great and are have very little flex in them

So.....that's what my jeep looks like when it's clean!

Those side steps look great! Are they functional as a step....or just ankle twisters?

Re: Running boards

Hey -

I have a set of Aries Black 4"oval sidebars for sale - They were installed and then un-installed the same day. I was torn between chrome and black, ordered the black ones and was too impatient - It's bugging me, so I going to sell them and get the chrome!

Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011 - 2015 - 4" Aries Black Oval Side bars

My loss is someones gain!

I'm in Brooklyn NY - I could possibly ship too.

Thanks. Sam
