Sorry, short story is that I have been confused since the forum default skin changed. I think I fixed it now...

I decided screw it, I ordered a 3.6L Red overland with black interior and adaptive cruise friday. The one with Saddle had 300 miles on it. Why not get one exactly the way I wanted it and brand new I figured.

Hopefully, you will have this for a while and you may as well get exactly what you wanted.

Its all up to you and your taste. Everyone has different likes. I love black leather and hate saddle. To much red if it was darker and more brownish would look a lot better in my opinion . With saddle you either love it or hate it. All your choice.Good Luck and don't let someone else makeup your mind.

Re: Saddle Interior durability, wear and general impression

I was all for black until I saw the saddle/Blk in person (more brown tones then what's shown in pics). It's been problem free so far at 8k miles!

Re: Saddle Interior durability, wear and general impression

My saddle Interior drivers seat is wearing on the edge.
I have the Overland Summit with 11k miles.
Does anyone have any info on how to get this corrected under warranty.

Not to hijack the thread, but this is why I chose the black interior.
I saw the saddle at the Toronto Auto show and it was already discolored and wearing due to the hundreds of people sliding in and out of the JGC. I figured this was a good extrapolation of what the drivers seat would like like after a year or two of normal use.

Now to answer the question, I can't see this being a warranty issue (though I hope I'm wrong). It would seem to be a normal wear/tear issue--your butt scraping along the seat every time you enter/exit.

Re: Saddle Interior durability, wear and general impression

My saddle interior is perfect with 7,000 Kms on it.
I hope people aren't confusing real discolouration with the slight difference from the leather faced seats and the sides which are vinyl.
There is a slight colour difference with the leather seating surfaces and the rest of the seats which are vinyl. But it is not due to wear... mines perfect.

WOW. I can say that nothing like that or remotely like that appears to be happening to me.
No signs of that on my saddle ride and I hope it stays like that!
