Re: Saddle Interior owners

there is no aggressive stance towards you. I see 0 problem with what your showing. Your looking for discussion right? I see no peeling, no stitches loose and no other problems. Leather is gonna vary from piece to piece. Its not a man made material so your gonna have some color variations from cow to cow. No two cows are alike.....sorry

Re: Saddle Interior owners

Really Scott? I dont care if you are the owner of the site or not. You are sooo wrong here. Yes you are being agressive. keep posting how I am grasping for straws, how I am being outrageous, How you dont see the obvious flaws, for christ sake the picture is 100 foot big! nobody's talking about 2 pieces of leather not matching! You keep posting how I am wrong according to you! So how are you not agressive? I heard you disagree with me 3 times already! Once wasn't enough? And if you noticed there are other forumers here who noticed and agreed!

So your point is taken! You think i am wrong! I get it! Let those who wish to discuss please!

Re: Saddle Interior owners

not sure how disagreeing is being aggressive but oh well......

anyway, for the OP: Has the look/color/fading CHANGED while you have owned the Jeep? or its the exact same way as you drove it off the lot?

also, Have you asked the Stealer about this yet? Results?

Incessant disagreeing? followed by being told I am grasping for straws? I am being outrageous? at a discussion of a very visible "condition" is being agressive my friend. What am I going to be bullied into not seeing it now? I came to discuss! not be trivialized in almost every reply by the same person over a VERY CLEAR CONDITION! Then to be harranged and told I wont be happy to just bring it back! WOW. All i have to say is the agenda is transparent here not for nothing. Its almopst as if you guys didnt even read the post. Another forumer or 2 gets it. Its a bad die job! Very clear! This is not the kind of exchange i expected on a "grown up" forum.

No the color has not changed. She is parked indoors most of the time at home and at work so not too much sun exposure at this point. I did not bring it back yet to the dealer yet for this issue. I dont expect to get far at the dealer with this "issue" anyway. I was just curious to see how other saddle interiors are fairing and if similiar conditions exist. ( I would agree to letting them re die it though. )

So far in this thread there is a post saying that the users interior is totally uniform and even. Another post saying they see the bad die job. I'm not grasping for anything

I should be able to get to the dealer this weekend to drop off for a list of repairs to be adressed hopefully all next week. Was dealing with real life issues before taking it back.

I drove ot off the lot at 9PM at night. It was dark and dirty. I know I should have waited and inspected but they beat me up for a few days then the old bait and switch, My fault, I know.

Can't really tell anymore since the post about wear; now I'm obsessed wondering if mine is indeed wearing.

Well feel safe that this thread is NOT about wear at all. It is how my dash looked from day one....

It appears as if the die isnt done all the way. I also have some dry leather on the dash if thats important for the discussion.

The first set of pics is from the JEEP website. I like the darker look in the pics and also I do like the pics that seem to show darker patches in the door leather and in some pics you can see darker patches on the seats. I actually like that look!

The pic you see maybe 5 posts back is my dashboard showing the spotty die job. If it was spotty in the darker direction I probably wouldnt mind as much. But while driving the lighter spots are annoying. Ill remedy it one way or another no doubt, I might even put a dash-pad/carpet on it anyway.

But no wear issue really at this point. I even use Jeep seat towel covers on my seat and lower the vehicle 85% of the times. Others have had some wear issues but not me yet if at all from what I can tell. The side ( bolster ) shows a tiny bit of creasing and darker discoloration maybe from the towel and some jeans now and then but the design I think is nice, There is material attached to the leather where it meets the side of the leather seat which i thought was a thoughtful design.

good luck!
You are right and I agree!! Its been about 7 months since I have it. This is not a major issue for me to worry about or push at the dealer anyway. I do have to show it though at least and get their initial determination. What I hoped to have accomplished here was to get some other experiences about the saddle leather like all the questions I asked in the above. Is it splotchy? Does it look like an even color all the way through, does it give the worn leather look like in the website pictures above,, etc..

As far as ruining it I have never even cleaned it yet! I have wiped the dust off with a towel and that's it just till I can get it looked at. Its really only a minor issue to me.
