Their idiots... the biggest being the idiots over at Bayside Chrysler Jeep and Dodge in Bayside New York. I would never ever buy another car from them or even take my car there for service ever again. Hopefully when night falls the lights will show the way they should.

Re: shop changed headlights... bad job

I just changed these bulbs out last night at like midnight and I can assure you that they could be easily damaged if someone were to be careless with them.

The fact that there is absolutely NO room on the pass side and most of the work is done through feeling leads me to think that you could damage the bulbs pretty easy. I didnt have gloves, so the entire time my hands were constantly trying to avoid contact. the rotating locking mechanism is tricky as all get out to get sealed back down on the new lights if its not seated properly. I literally locked them in place and after several attempts and the ability to pull the bulbs out after some wiggling, i finally got them locked into place. I have larger hands too, which made it a little more difficult.

You pass bulb is definitely pointing what looks downward and the cutoff line is horrible.

I would purchase new bulbs and tell the garage you need compensated for the old ones. If they refuse, then you have to make a decision on how far you want to take it. Either way, you paid for a service, and more damage was done then actual service.

Good luck man.

I know you know what they should look like, but leaving work tonight I snapped this pic for you. Stock 2015 HA beam to use as reference on proper cutoff and aiming. My fogs were on so that's what that extra cutoff beam is that you see below the main cutoff.

Re: shop changed headlights... bad job

Hi all.. well I was still having issues because as it turns out the last shop who claimed to have installed it didn't do it properly. I was reaching into the housing and I felt the bulb moving around again. I ended up calling another dealership and took the car in yesterday. Being the stealership they say the bumber was previously removed and wasn't put back on properly and missing fasteners so it wouldn't be covered under warranty. Ended up paying 2hrs labor $270+ tax. I'm happy to say that the problem is finally fixed. I have a perfect cut off and lights are bright. I am told they should be getting brighter over time so I'll be running the lights whenever I drive the car to break them in sooner. If I could re-live this experience I would have just taken the bulbs to the dealership to have them installed them in the first place.

That sucks man, I would take that receipt down to the original garage and ask that they pay it or pay half at least. If they removed the bumper thinking they had too, they caused all these issues.

The big story here is that it's fixed so anything else really doesn't matter anymore. Glad your good to go
