Re: Silver Front Plate

Yes it is, the part from the Limited/Overland and the one from Jeeps.com are the same. I compared the product numbers.

...and Peter, I agree with you. It is a matter of how badly someone wants it.

The part numbers maybe the same but I wonder if the actual parts are the same. The actual part seemed to be short from front to back than the part on the limited/overlands.

Radside - I just received the chrome bumper molding from justforjeeps.com and had some questions about the install since yours looks great. hoping you can help.

Did you cut off the three large clips? What tool did you use and how flush do you have to get it? Did you also cut off the fin looking clips on the edges?

Im on the fence on whether to try the install myself or take it to a body shop (i know the owner and they would just charge me minimally).

Any help is appreciated.

Re: Silver Front Plate

Reading the posts here I see that there is definitely aftermarket potential for this piece. I don't understand why mopar/Jeep cannot just provide a piece that fits 100% for the Laredo model. The only thing I can think of is that they want to maintain that distinguishing element between the Laredo and the Limited/Overland.

...but still, why then offering a piece that doesn't fit? ...and for that price?

Re: Silver Front Plate

I used a pair of those automotive snipers...the ones that usually comes in a set with the needle nose pliers. Get them as flush as possible but if you use screws and double sided tape to hold them you should be ok. Mine is still holding strong with no signs of falling off.
