Re: Skid Plate

I paid $372 for skid plates 1 month ago from justforjeeps. I had them price match another Chrysler/jeep parts website. Shipping was around $60.
Installation will be by my father-in-law

Since I will most likely never take my GC off-road, I bought/installed just the front & middle skid plates for light road debris protection and aerodynamics. IMO, the heavy gas tank skid plates would be overkill, just add additional weight, and do nothing for aerodynamics.

Re: Skid Plate

Online I see I can buy the transfer plate, fuel plate (x2), and front suspension plate. However, in the ORAII package, it also mentions an underbody plate. What is that and is it needed?

Rocky Road shows 3 plate, 2 are the fuel tank plates. What are they missing that the factory plates cover?

Transfer case is one. Front axle is the other.

There are a total of three part numbers including five skid plates. Two of the part numbers include two plates for total five. Total weight all five add is 117lbs, i got all five shipped for about $420. They are fairly easy bolt ons. If you are going off roading i would definitely get them. Slide under there and look at those two big plastic gas tanks hanging there and you will want them.

Agreed. But my off-roading is limited to dirt roads and trips across my mowed back yard to my shed. My biggest concerns are snow and road debris.

Here are the part numbers
Skid Plates on Diesel Summit

Just put all 5 on unless you are trying to save some on cost. they are really not all that expensive but kinda depends on what you plan on doing with the jeep whether you need them or not.

Re: Skid Plate

Not worried as much about the cost, as I am about the best protection.
