So where would you guys store water?

Since I have a new little dude to drive around with (aka a new son) I always like to be prepared for the unexpected,so I want to take you guys temp as to where you would keep bottled water and formula.

The two spots I was entertaining was under the drivers seat in the empty compartment or where the spare is... I like to keep the trunk free of stuff bc I have to lug around the wife's stuff plus the junk for both kids...

Ideas?

Wouldn't that be kind of warm under the seat?

I was thinking about that too, but with fall around the corner I think it will keep cool.

Also, it's dry formula so I don't think spoilage is an issue.

Yeah, in cooler weather that would work.

Re: So where would you guys store water?

The area around the spare is a good idea. The storage bins should hold a few bottles. I would keep some frozen and throw a couple of them in during the summer. In a few hours you still may have cool water.

Careful about volume expansion if it freezes where you live. Also, I'm not sure if I would want to give an infant water that had been stored in plastic water bottles that were stored in rather high temps for a long period of time (i.e. possibly leaching chemicals).

Personally I'd use glass or stainless steel containers for emergency water reserve for an infant (leaving room in the container for volume expansion if it freezes). Stainless would obviously be more durable in the spare compartment storage.

Re: So where would you guys store water?

I keep water in a duffle bag in the rear (along with food, a change of clothes, and other emergency supplies).

I still have plenty of room for other stuff & can grab the bag with all of my supplies and go if needed. I keep it secured with a heavy duty bungee cord to the tie-downs.

Re: So where would you guys store water?

Buy an electric cooler and put it on the rear floor. Solves all problems.

Re: So where would you guys store water?

Congrats on the little one!

And IDK about the spare tire area as that is always hot as **** when I go in it for my cleaning supplies. IDK about you but I find the WK2 throws off WAYYYYYY much more heat than my WK1. lol

Never used the compartment under the drivers seat though. lol
