some new LED bulbs

So I'm an LED virgin......well I was was until this weekend. I installed some LED reverse, plate and fog lights over the weekend. Well it turns out I installed the wrong fog lights.

Just in case anyone was thinking about replacing some stock bulbs with LED's......be warned, once you replace a few you'll want to do them all.

main reverse bulbs: 7440 High Power 11 Watt White LED Bulbs (2 Bulbs)

lift gate bulbs: 921 High Power 7.5 Watt LED Bulbs (2 bulbs)

plate bulbs: HPX 194 (Also fits 168 and 2825) White LED bulb with 5 High Output LEDs (single bulb) Part # 194HO5

and the fogs that I screwed up on: (these fit but I was told they are not the direct replacement that I thought they were) HPX H16 (5202, 9009) High Power White LED bulb Twin Pack (2 bulbs) Part # H16HPLEDW

these are the fogs to get: PSX24W (2504) High Power White LED bulb Twin Pack (2 bulbs) Part # PSX24WHPLEDW

So now can some one help me with replacing the HID headlights with 6000k bulbs to match the fogs?

I have a 2012 Overland Summit if that makes any difference.

don't know why lighting is so confusing to me but it is.

how to replace the d1s bulbs

HOW TO: Remove and replace your D1S headlight bulbs

I recommend the XenonDepot Xtreme bulbs. I have the 6000k bulbs in my 13' SRT jeep

Are the reverse lights brighter, the same, or less light?

This.

Also just to clarify, is it 4 bulbs total for reverse then? 2 main and then 2 in the lift gate?

Yes, so much brighter. When I leave for work in the morning I'll pull out of the garage and then wait for the garage door to close before I leave. I don't normally put it in park but for some reason I did yesterday morning. When going from drive to park....passing thru reverse, the reverse lights came on. I saw this big flash behind me. I was shocked how bright it was! So yeah the reverse lights are very bright.

Yep 4 bulbs total.....really pretty easy to change them all. The lift gate bulbs are a little bit of a pain just because you have to pop the lower half of the interior door panel off. I wrapped a flat tip screw driver with electrical tape and used that to pry one edge up......after that I just used my fingers. Screw driver and tape worked well.....no marks on the paint or plastic.

Re: some new LED bulbs

Looks good! I just did all my interior, except the map bulb ... not sure what LED bulb replaces that. The lift gate bulb change was great ... amazing amount of light when its opened ! I too just popped them off, rather than taking the interior panel off. Exterior bulbs coming next.

What wheels are you getting ?

Anyone know of the LED replacement for the Map Light ?
