SRT Bodykit on regular Grand Cherokee ?

Hi all,

I am thinking to buy my first Jeep, I just love the look of the Grand Cherokee and SRT

Currently I drive a reliable but boring Lexus RX350 2012

I love love the look of the SRT however I don't really need the power nor the drinking habit of the SRT. Happy with the performance and fuel efficiency of an Overland.

Will I able to retro fit an SRT front and rear bumper bar on a regular Overland?

Thank you for the help!
Daniel

yes...but very expensive.

And...is the fuel economy of the overland hemi that much better? I just got 22.4 mpgs on a 1000 mile trip in my SRT

Thanks Scott.

The Overland would be a diesel 3.6 litre isn't it ? I think it drinks half what the SRT drinks.

Would it be possible to just replace the front and rear bumper, smoke the rear tail light a little bit and replace the rear chrome insert with black one ?

well the 3.6 is a petrol engine. the 3.0 is the diesel. but to answer your question, yes it can be done, but I think you'd also need the srt grill as the tabs on it are different then the overlands.

I think I would look nice like that

The main difference between the SRT and the 3.6 is that although you still got 22.4mpg with the SRT, (and thats what i get with my 3.6) don't you have to use premium with the SRT? (93 oct.) while the 3.6 can use the cheap one. saving 50 cents every gallon make a huge difference on the long run.

On the bodykit part.. I have a friend that did this so it is possible, bought the Overland and bought the whole SRT body kit... the SUV looks BEAUTIFUL. now he has best of both worlds.
