Re: SRT headlights on 2014 Overland

Looks sweet, just not sure if its really worth all the work and money when most won't even notice..

Do the headlight washers function or did you not hook up the washer fluid tubing?

The blacked out parts are awesome cant wait to see it when you color match the door handles and mirror caps.
The truck was kind of my guinea pig. I did try to install the color matched mirror and door handle covers nut they looked sloppy since some of the chrome could be seen, so i took them right off. I decided to part ways with it earlier this week and traded it in for an ecodiesel. Not sure ill be doing much to the new one for a while. But I certainly am enjoying the torque and 30 mpg I am currently getting.

Thanks! It was not about the money for me, but more of a project. I enjoyed it alot actually. And you are right, most people did not notice it. But it looked great.

As for the washers, i did not hook them up. It required some other module to be installed to the washer reservoir tank for them to function. I was not too interested in making that work.

I've never been a fan of shiny chrome but smoked chrome looks really good. I am just wondering what some of your opinions are on this update I plan on doing to my truck. Any input is appreciated.
What fog lights did you use to match the HID head lights?

The best match was the 5000k ones. I will tell you it was kind of a pain to install the HID fogs as you need to remove the bumper since the kit I used used relays. I could not get the lights to stop flickering without the relay. The ones I had were the volt hids from xenon depot.

On the diesel one that I have now, I'm just running led fogs. Light output is reduced, but they look great.

Yup stock has been confirmed as 4650K. The 5000k would be the closest match

Re: SRT headlights on 2014 Overland

Does anyone know if this mod would be a plug and play for a summit being it also has adaptive headlights? Good job with the overland by the way.. It looks like i would have liked.. To be honest i wish the srt had color matching front grill rather then the black.. It looks more subtle and clean to me.. But the all black grill is nice.. Those headlights though look so much better..
