SRT headlights on Laredo

Hi all,

I am looking at purchasing some SRT8 Headlights from justforjeeps website which is American and looking at putting them in on my Laredo which is Australian and was wondering if there would be any difference in the headlight swap between a left hand drive or a right hand drive?

I am also aware that I would need a HID harness but was wondering which one I will need and if the above problem will have any problems with this

Thanks guys

NO -The USA left-hand-drive models use different focusing reflectors. Low beam will have more light onto oncoming traffic instead of kerbside.

This will also make your Aussie Jeep not roadworthy.

Re: SRT headlights on Laredo

You have not mentioned what year model you have. The 14/15 models in Australia all have HID lights so I guess you are trying to upgrade an earlier model. The HIDs are controlled via a BCM so there may be some changes required. See the diagram attached.

Re: SRT headlights on Laredo

I have a 2015 Laredo but was unaware that they come stock with HIDs as all the forums I have read say that they need the harness etc.

But that is good to know that the headlights should simply plug and play. Thanks for the tips

Australian models have higher equipment levels. You can confirm your equipment fitted. Search with your VIN number. You should have BI-Xenon HID Headlamps listed.
