Re: SRT8 Blackout wheels on my Overland

they look good, I think they'd look better if you took the chrome mirror caps and side molding off though.

Re: SRT8 Blackout wheels on my Overland

Looks VERY good!!!! I agree with the above statement that with the addition of those darker SRT wheels, its time for a mild de-chroming session. Not that the chrome doesnt look good on the Overland, but now with those more aggressive/sportier wheels, the chrome is just a tad out of place.
If you recall my picture thread of the SRT8 wheels on my Overland I removed the chrome mirror caps and removed the side chrome strip and added the Grand Cherokee letters. Oh and one last thing I put the original black fog bezels back on, Looked perfect!
Just curious were those wheels repainted a darker shade of gray or what? I know the SRT wheels are just slightly darker than my Overland 20's, but I dont recall them being that dark. The color is perfect as they dont seem too dark, but at the same time they for sure arent a bright silver color.

Are those OEM wheels or is some company making replicas now? I had a set of OEM SRT wheels with the Scorpion runflats and they were ridiculously heavy!!

More pics please!!! :-)

Re: SRT8 Blackout wheels on my Overland

James Pls check your PM Box
They are OEM Wheels with Pirelli Run flats in Original Silver color with some custom touch to it. The face of the wheels were painted black and the valleys are OEM silver....gives the wheels better depth. It hard to see from pics but they look more aggressive. You are correct about the weight. They are heavier than Overland wheels but not that much, Remember they are 20x10 not 20x8 with bigger tires. More pics to come.

Re: SRT8 Blackout wheels on my Overland

I actually weighed the wheels and IMO they are significantly heavier than the Overland 20's. So much so that I can easily lift the Overland wheels where as I almost threw out my back trying to lift the SRT wheel/tire lol. I think the difference was almost 20lbs per wheels!! I lost a couple MPG, but then again I just have the little V6 so mine would be effected more than the Hemi. Either way though the look alone is worth it!! Your jeep looks amazing!

Looks awesome. I agree with getting rid of some of the chrome.

Love what you did with your wheels. I agree with the chrome removal. I wonder how colored matched air dam and side rockers would look..

Re: SRT8 Blackout wheels on my Overland

I'm typically not a huge fan of the 'blacked out' look, but yours looks great. nice job! I think it would look just as sweet with color matched mirror caps and grille.
