Anyone know if the red start button from the 14 SRT8 would fit in a 11-13? From the looks of it, they changed the start button from the 13s to the 14s but I'm not sure.
I think it would be a pretty cool little mod to put that red start button in my 2013 limited. Anyone done this?
That would be cool, but as you said it looks different from the 11-13 buttons. Not sure how the red button would look against the wood trim in my overland though.
I did this in my Infiniti G37 - was able to swap the red button from a GT-R. Was a cool little mod.
Awesome, How difficult do you guy think the swap would be? or how should I go about to remove the stock one? I don't wanna damage the wood or stock button.
Also where could we get the OEM button besides the dealer?
Yea, the 11-13s have a removable cap and you can put the key in if you take the cap off. I was hoping that you could just buy a new cap that was red but I'm guessing not if the 14s don't have that removable piece. (Since I think the red is only on the 14 srt8 )
That part is interesting though. I wonder if it's interchangeable with the 11-13s. Also if it's just plug and play with the old part or if you have to program the key to it. I also just did the carbon fiber trim (do-noc) wrap in my limited so this would look pretty cool I think.
If all you want is a res start bottom for your 2011-2013 go to the vendor section and send Nate of rebadge a PM he already has a red button avaliable for sale or he can custom make one for you.
I have a custom decal made for mine and have had it for a year with no issues
Here are a few other decals. BTW.. you dont need to remove the whole dash. Just one piece on the 2014. On the 11-13 you can pop out the start button with a credit card.
So I got the sticker/button from that dealer stevewhiteparts@gmail.com but in my opinion it looks a little cheep. It's got this raised silicon gummy look rather than the plastic look of the stock button.
I was able to take the original button apart and what i did was wrap the black plastic top part (the part that has the white writing on it) in a thin red 3m wrap that I got from a local decal shop, and then put it back together.
The shop I got the vinyl from said they can print the start stop image from the original button into the red vinyl. I'm going to have them do that and then re-wrap that piece to see how it looks.

Any one on here try reaching out to member Nate? I believe his user name is Nate Dawg. He pretty much does it all. He is making something special for me as we speak (not a start button) Check out his website www.rebadgedesign.com
It's been almost a month since I sent in my payment. I still haven't received my red button yet. I just sent him an email. Will post pics if I ever get it.
Just order a decal for my 2012 overland. I took the button out but I'm not sure if I should remove the chrome ring and pull the original sticker off or just stick the new decal over the original. Help on installing it please...
