Is this true? Or is it just the picture that look that way.
The overland wheel face is painted plastic whereas the SRT8 wheel is polished metal. The polished part is slightly shinier than the face of the stock silver parts for that reason but it compliments the chrome surround at the edges.

I like the look of the srt8 but dont think I will be changing any exterior stuff to match. It already looks great and is a little more practical off paved streets.

Re: SRT8 Steering Wheel Installed

I wish the WK2 steering wheel would fit in a WK. I would love to get one of these hated wood steering wheels off one of you guys.

Re: SRT8 Steering Wheel Installed

604, would you mind please providing any tips on disconnecting the two yellow electrical clips on the driver's side airbag?

Below is the post I put into your removal thread in the Troubleshoot subforum.

Please and thanks.

Re: SRT8 Steering Wheel Installed

Sure, all you have to do is pry upwards on the orange retainer clips on the top of the connectors. Use a really small flathead driver and they just pop upwards to release the harness.

Re: SRT8 Steering Wheel Installed

Yea the paddles working would top it all off. I had planned on removing them until someone figures it out but they really don't bother me at all and are not in the way. I'm sure someone will figure it out eventually.

Re: SRT8 Steering Wheel Installed

Pre CF trim. For the time being I did remove the paddle shifters. The ergonomics, trim upgrade, and feel are superb. Stellar upgrade.

Thanks for talking me in 604.

Feels like there needs to be a panel covering both sides of the backside where the stereo buttons are, no? That said, the tactile feel of those buttons feels more robust than on the stock wheel.
