Think this will be possible? Milous? Would love to have paddle shifters so I don't have to take/leave my hand off the steering wheel during spirited driving.

Soon there's going to be paddle shifters in a Prius..
It could be possible as long as all the buttons on the steering wheel match up and you have the wiring in place for the computer to recognize the paddle inputs. But I bet it's not cheap. Fun to think about, though!
I'd love to do it even without the paddle shifters. It looks spectacular with the extra shape grips and angles, and as a bonus, cuts down on the crazy rabbit effect.
If the plastic on the back of the srt8 steering wheel is finished better I would be interested in this. Don't care about the paddle shifters...they are stupid. We never use them on our G37S.
Thanks Milous! You wouldn't happen to have seen a diagram to tell if the paddles are integrated with the steering wheel, or if we could possibly swap just the steering wheel alone?
I see the evil robotic rabbit now. LOL Reminds me, I just got rid of 5 baby bunnies at my house that would have eaten everything. Just drove them up the road a ways and let them go on the side of the road by a farm.
Hope you don't see that evil rabbit whenever you drive. That could cause an accident... or nightmares. LOL
Hello guys, I'm new around here and as a jeep owner too. I brought the srt8 steering wheel for my 2012 Laredo and install it. It took me like 15 minutes to install it. Once I finished I start my engine to test the paddle shifter and.... No good!!! I was disappointment but what the hell It looks great. After that I start searching on the internet and didn't find anything. I unmounted again and compare the original steering wheel cables vs. the srt8 and found two additional cables, orange and blue/black. Then I unmounted the shifter console to see if there was any activator or cables for the shifting and I found it. It is a little box with a yellow and black cable. After that I started testing some combinations between the paddle shifter cables and the shifter box (I don't know how to name it) and found something. If I take out the orange cable and insert a new cable to connect it to the yellow one I can shift up with the paddle shifter. Here is the thing, I never found the combination to down shift. Both sides, up and down have the same colors (orange + blue/black). It will be great to have the wiring diagram or some electric meter to test it but i don't.
Does someone around here have any idea? The yellow and black cables plug have two unused slots maybe it have something to do with this. Any help will be appreciated.
I am doing this swap on my 2011 6 speed Challenger SRT. I am guessing that you could buy the 6 speed wheel that does not have the paddle shifters and put in on your Jeep. Very cool mod whichever wheel you use.
Ggolow, were you able to get the other functions connected and working properly such as: cruise control, EVIC, phone/voice, and stereo buttons on the backside of the wheel?
Thanks again, I've been lusting after this since the first SRT8 photos were issued.
Yes moosehead, it's like a plug and play thing. There are 4 plugs, 2 for the airbag, 1 that I believe controls everything that you mention, and another that doesn't have any connector (male connector) that I think it's for the wheel's heating.
If it weren't for the "SRT" Etching, I'd consider this mod as well. Any options regarding the SRT logo on the bottom of the wheel? I know it's fairly vague but I really don't want to be sporting "SRT" in my overland.
what if i have a limited without heated wheel, does the harness exist in the column? even without a heated wheel installed? would i be able to plug in this wheels heated function into existing wire?
or i run a new wire and splice into heated seats?
Not sure on functionality of the heated wheel... when it comes on and with what

my guess is the wiring is probably somewhere but it probably doesn't terminate at the wheel and dash location to easily add the wheel and switch on the lower dash strip.
I was a little concerned about the purchase as well because the price seemed too good to be true. Sure enough I did find a small blemish on my steering wheel but after contacting the seller he gave me a discount and was quick to respond to make it right. I also purchased via eBay and had yet to leave feedback so keeping his 100% feedback was probably key to my fast resolution.
The blemish on my wheel is very minor and not visible or detectable by feel now that its installed so it doesn't bother me at all. I'm guessing he purchased a few factory seconds and was hoping to sell them without people noticing? Either way I am happy as I have a perfect funtioning wheel at 1/4 of the price I would have paid at the dealer.
I think Moosehead's cruise control button was not working correctly perhaps that was his blem. Should be an easy fix - possibly swap your original buttons from the overland wheel?
Anyone else find any small issues on inspection?
