So what does CHALLENGERBIZJET think of these pedals?

I'm 99% sure that he liked the looks but they were a little slick.

CHALLENGER: TELL US AGAIN,
What exactly would you say was wrong with the pedals? not enough latex in the mix perhaps?

Re: Stainless Steel Brake & Gas Pedals

The gas and brake pedal said they are made of santoprene rubber.

The rubber on the E brake pedal is more rubber like.

Adding the parking brake pedal had led various methods of install.

It took me two pedals to get it right.

The first one I trimmed and for what every reason I would not stay planted.

When I bought the second pedal here is what I did.

I took a peice of cardstock paper and made a template of the back of the pedal.

I trimmed the template until it fit the inside of the pedal cover.

Next I used the template to cut out an adapter out of sheet metal.

I checked to see of the sheet metal would snuggly fit inside the pedal cover.

After getting a good fit I put the peice of sheet metal an placed it on the parking brake pedal lever and Drilled a hole through the sheet metal and the parking brake.

I used a screw to join my adapter to the parking brake lever.

Then I simply slid on my unmodified pedal cover to the sheet metal adapter I made.

Mine is fitting secure with one screw holding it but if you think it is going to twist you can add a second screw to make sure it stays when you want it.

Wow. Nice job, but that is a lot of work. Just heat the brake pedal up really well with a hair dryer, add a little elbow greece and push the sucker on. A little bit of a pain, but not too bad. 5 min job. Also, there seems to be plenty of grip on the pedals. No slipping issues at all for me. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Stainless Steel Brake & Gas Pedals

My pedals should be here in about an hour. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm going to try the hair dryer method. They should have a good grip in the winter when you have a little snow stuck on the bottom of your foot.

Re: Stainless Steel Brake & Gas Pedals

I hope you enjoy them,I sent mine back for a lack of grip during wet/snowy weather...too much risk in my opinion. I'm glad it's working for some of you though.
