I just got done installing Mopar stainless steel gas and brake pedal kit.

Wow what a project! My arms feel like I just reeled in a 50 lb tuna!

The gas pedal was easy.. It just clipped on after about 5 minutes of wiggling.

The brake pedal was another story. I read in Amazon reviews a recommendation to first soak the brake pedal in boiling water.

I let them soak.. Then tried to pry it on using a flat head screwdriver for 10 minutes.. Then I soaked it again in boiling water... The another 10 minutes of wrangling.

Finally I soaked it one last time. This time I first starter with top right side, then bottom left... Then bottom right... So close!! Finally I was able to slip the screwdriver under the top left side and pried it on. I actually couldn't believe I got it on for about a minute.

Here is a pic of mission accomplished:

All in all it was an awesome mod for about $60. Super cool and sporty looking!!

BTW this is the link on Amazon where I bought them:

Re: Stainless Steel Brake & Gas Pedals

Too bad the curve on the replacement E brake pad does not match the curve of the brake & gas pedals.

Still waiting for Chrysler to come out with a true matching stainless steel pedal pad for the E brake.

BTW, the trick to get the brake pedal pad on is to heat it up with a hot air gun and work glove to protect your hand from the heat. Boiling water isn't hot enough. I wish I knew this trick BEFORE I put my set on!

Didn't enjoy them i sent them back. The pedals didn't give me the impression that I could stop when the weather gets wet as well as my shoes. The little stubs on the brake and gas pedal weren't really the rubbery feeling I expected, they were more plasticky and made me feel like if they got wet my foot would slip which if for whatever reason I need to stop quickly I didnt have the confidence that I would be able to with those pedals.

Talking about finicky people. The gas and brake is just for looks not for performance. Looks better finished.

It might look better finished but when you live in the Midwest with snow and rain I need function. Also because if my foot slips off that pretty pedal then it won't matter how good they look while the car is at the tow yard and my insurance company is tryin to fix it or total it.
