Steering Wheel Chipped

Hello all,

I chipped my steering wheel today and there are two small chunks out of the leather. Nothing too bad just annoying as the car is only 6 weeks old.

Any ideas on what to do to make it a little better? obviously replace the steering wheel is a non feasible option.

Anyone else done this?

Thanks

Google "leather repair kit".

Or check locally and see if there is a shop that can do it for you. Places that produce bike leathers tend to be pretty good.

It is possible for rookies to repair leather damage, but about as easy to do well as do it yourself window film tinting.

A good cobbler should be able to help you out.

Re: Steering Wheel Chipped

Little scratches and nicks do smooth out fairly quickly with use.

Rubbing scratches with a smooth piece of leather speeds it up.
