Sttering Wheel Cover Removal

Hey all,

Anyone removed the center piece cover of the steering wheel? With the part that says Jeep on it? IS there anything involved to this? Don't want to set off the airbag. I'm hoping that it's just a trim piece and I can pop it off.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Unfortunately that piece is part of the airbag assembly.

Yea I took a look at the trim removal guide, it seems pretty easy once you get the retaining clip off. The two holes on the side of the steering column look tricky though

Re: Sttering Wheel Cover Removal

I would disconnect the battery before messing with that cover.

That's my plan. The trim removal guide calls for the battery do be removed
