I'm new and just making a mention of my trim changes....I removed the vinyl insert from the door cards (the vinyl upholstered part above the armrest but below the woodtone trim) and covered them with Katzkin suede. I have the tan & black interior so I used black suede to cover this as opposed to the tan vinyl it was from the factory. Removing the door cards was easy and I managed to not break anything on any of the four, there are posts about their removal in many places online. You then remove the armrest with about a dozen Torx screws (T-20 I think). The part I recovered is "welded" on by the doors cards by melting a plastic post coming through the molded door card. So, I used about a 1/2 inch drill bit to drill off this melted plastic. The part in question then comes off. It is a piece of rigid plastic with the vinyl glued on. I used upholstery adhesive to cover it with the suede, turning around all the edges to glue onto the backside about an inch too of course. I then used construction adhesive to glue this panel back onto the door card. There were 3 or 4 plastic posts on each panel which help "locate" the panel onto the door card. They were not melted at the factory or damaged by what I did. I used self tapping auto trim washers around these locator posts to help hold them on esp. while the construction adhesive dried. While I had the door cards off I replaced the front door speakers with three way JBL's and the rear door speakers with three way Nakamichis. They were not the cheapest selections Crutchfield had to fit the factory mounting points, but they were far from the most expensive and the improvement in sound quality blew me away....
