Re: Summit drivers seat wearing

I'm 6'3, 230 and mine looks like JTS's. I've got about 17K on mine and make an effort to minimize sliding across the bolster when I get in and out. I consider this to be normal wear for leather seats.

However, croft's wear is excessive.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one. I can deal with the creases but not any tears. Jeep should have used a stronger leather in the ends but they didn't.

Re: Summit drivers seat wearing

Brown here and showing same stuff at 8k miles, just no flaking, wrinkles and cracked lines only. Maybe we can call it "distressed leather" and it will be fashionable.

Adding to the sample size --- 2014 Summit, brown interior, 14k miles, same wear.

Re: Summit drivers seat wearing

I went to the dealer yesterday. They took pictures and was going to send them to jeep for authorization to replace wants needed to be replaced. They said that it wasn't normal and it should be replaced. I can see the wrinkles but no cracking or flaking this early.

Its actually flaking off all over where those creases are at if you look close not just the one large area scrap looking area. Makes me wonder what they sprayed on it as part of that interior package didit help it or cause it? Damage is one thing but starting to flake on all those little creases like that is not right. Mine has got all those little creases but not flaking or not yet anyway. How is the passenger seat?

Re: Summit drivers seat wearing

The creases are starting to split apart and flakes are starting to form around them.
Xzilon.com is what they used for the interior. I asked a few people who bought cars from this dealer and had it done. None of them had this issues.

The passenger seat is fine. No creases yet and someone drive with my 75% of the time

Re: Summit drivers seat wearing

Just an update. Jeep authorized the replacement of the part.

I noticed that if I rub my finger across the part that is wearing. You can feel the leather ripple. The other seat doesn't. Feels like the leather is thinner then the other one

Re: Summit drivers seat wearing

I have the same issue and my passenger side leather is relatively thin layered it seems because it is snagging very easily. Sucks paying larger amounts for "better quality" in fact the best quality that jeep offers and getting F***ed hard by Jeep when they cut short cuts to save money.

Re: Summit drivers seat wearing

So I went to Jeep dealership about this issue and the claims lady took pictures and reported that it was a defect and that I should be covered. She would inform me in a few days... It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything from the dealership, I find it funny how every time I call she is at lunch or on break... They are ignoring the issue it seems...
