Summit Exhaust Tips and other Mods

So I just bought last week an new 2014 JGC Overland, back here in Austria with the best engine here, the diesel. The car is stunning, and I am amazed, cause I have driven before 2 Times an BMW 1-Series with strong diesel engines. The car is white with the 20s on and the interieur is black leather. So my question is: Is it possible to retrofit the Summit Exhaust Tips to the Overland Model? If anyone could help me I would be very thankfull. My other question is: I have seen here in this forum that, there are VLEDs Amber V3 Triton available for the rear turn signal bulbs. Which should I order, to get the right one? And also I have seen one member of this forum, has retrofitted LED Reverse Light to his JGC Altitude, can you tell me please which bulb I will have to buy? Big thanks to everybody, who can help me

Im sorry that my English isnt perfect, but here in the german part of Europe there is pretty no good forum for GC- Owners

Thanks a lot!

Re: Summit Exhaust Tips and other Mods

The issue with fitting the Summit exhaust tips is that yo would also need to change out the whole bumper cover/rear fascia...the tips are shaped differently and mount within trapezoidal cutouts in the bumper profile. It would be pretty darn expensive to do it right!

I can't help you with the LED kit question, unfortunately.

Your English is very good. Much much better than my German!

Re: Summit Exhaust Tips and other Mods

It would appear you have an export model

Summit tip would be difficult since they are bolt on tips and designed for a different rear valance. The tips on your truck are welded on. For you to make it work you may have to reshape the opening for the silencer tip.

Rear turn signal bulb will be 7440 (single filament) bulbs. You must order amber with the load stabilizer.

I am not sure what bulbs the exports use for the reverse bulb but if they are like to US spec that postion uses a 921 bulb. (single filament bulb)

Re: Summit Exhaust Tips and other Mods

Thanks a lot for your help. The LED question is already cleared but I think I will look otherwise for an exhaust solution for my GC to make it perfect. But for the perfect price here I will have to wait for my GC until December. When its in my garage, Ill post pics here and also the mods Ill do on the car.
