Summit Fog Light Surround

Has anyone tried to purchase the chrome parts that go around the fog lights on the Overland Summit? I'm purchasing an Overland, but I'd like this on mine and it isn't in it's build.

Yes, check on eBay or Amazon...there are a lot of dealers selling them on there for $60 to $70. They swap out in about 15 seconds.

Another possible source is Just For Jeeps. They are a site supporter, so a discount can apply.

Re: Summit Fog Light Surround

Talk to your Jeep dealer... Some have been known to "throw" those chrome fog lamp bezels in for free.

Mine did, along with some other Mopar accessories.

It cannot hurt to ask, as they probably want to keep your business beyond the sale & delivery.

Re: Summit Fog Light Surround

ordered and installed these. no issues at all.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/120853480905...84.m1439.l2649

they pop out fairly easily from the inside part of the trim. I didnt know beforehand and used a few coat hangers to get inbetween the light and the trim. Popped both out without scratches in a few minutes. there is only only clip holding them in and it is molded in the trim piece in the middle of the short side of the trim.

My understanding is that you can also use a flathead screwdriver from the larger side prying upwards but i was concerned w chipping the paint.

Re: Summit Fog Light Surround

I used a flat blade, no problem. I put blue painters tape over the paint at the top. Once the corner came up, I just grabbed it with my fingers and it snapped right off. 15 minutes including the taping.

Just ordered mine from the dealer. The dealer said that the bulbs need to come out to replace them. Is this true and is it as simple as the instructions above? Thanks!!

Nope, bulbs stay in. Really...it's a 15 minute mod!
