Summit Lower Grill w/ tow hook cutout (from Mopar)...?

Forgive me if this is old news or somewhat debunked, I'm a WK2 noob as you can see. Looking through some posts here and parts sites about tow hooks on my Summit led me to *almost believing that there is a lower grill section for the Summit that has the proper cutout for tow hooks.

Since there is not a single shred of evidence to this claim on any diagrams, I actually found said unicorn part at my dealer. He snapped a pic and text it to me, and I thought I would share. Going to investigate in person this week.

If this has been discussed please let me know and I'll give up the quest and simply cut out as others have.

Here's where I got the idea

Here's what he sent me.

Looks like a single tow hook cutout on the left side, I am good with one, but looks like the wrong size to me. Is this some sort of Mopar Wizardry or just a dream of things that do not exist...

Re: Summit Lower Grill w/ tow hook cutout (from Mopar)...?

I went through this a bit when I was adding my hooks last summer. If I remember correctly the conclusion I came to was that what you have there is an opening for a single tow eyelet that is used on some export models. and attachment points for that eyelet where not their on the domestic or there was some reason at the time I just dropped that and just cut the two holes for the standard hooks. Sorry I don't remember exactly

that was my thought, but when my dealer had it in stock that's when i really got confused. could not figure out why he would have it on the shelf in Southeast, Pa. thanks.

*here is the video I was looking at, this would be a great option as well and likely similar to what's going on with this. I guess just not the US domestics...
