Summitt mud guards

Anyone hear anything if Jeep is making mud guards for the 2014 Summit?

Jeep no but I did contact Husky and they stated they would be making them - They didn't give me a date but said they would be in touch once they roll out

I just don't see the reasoning why Jeep didn't come out with them in the first place. Especially in the northeast. I get the whole esthetic look thing but the alternative is crud all over the lower rails and rear fenders. Thanks for the info!

I'm dying here in the Midwest for a set of mud guards for the Summit. Fingers crossed for husky coming out with a set.

I hear you - I'm in New Hampshire and the road salt / sand causes all sorts of problems - for whatever reason , Jeep makes few options for the Summit and SRT class - Husky told me the demand has been high for inquires on the Summit model so it is a no brainier for them to produce them. I'll let you know when I hear from them.

Re: Summitt mud guards

Jeep probably didn't forecast the Summit having the popularity it does. It is also unique as far as wheel arch molding shape - what fits every other WK2, does not fit Summit. Beancounters probably have some algebraic formula they use to determine marketability here...

The aftermarket will pick up the slack. Just a matter of time. If it gets really bad, there's always old-school flat splash guards that don't wrap around bodywork...

Would any of you consider having the mud guards painted to match your color of your Summit?

I would in a heartbeat - had painted ones on my Escalade and loved the look. Wife has them on her Infiniti as well. Problem is , we need someone to mold one out for Summit owners -
