Re: Sunvisor airbag stickers

I forget what process is used when the warning labels are applied, but no matter what you use or how you try to remove them, there will always be some outline/residue left behind from the label. May not notice it when viewing it head on, but from an angle, it will be visible. If that doesn't bother you, then have at it.
Only way to completely be free of the labels is to order sunvisors (costly) from a country that doesn't apply any warning labels to the sunvisors.

I'd be very careful about trying to remove from fabric visors. In fact, I'd recommend against attempting it. Every time we go someplace in my wife's Mercedes, she point out what a mess I made of her visors, forcing her to sew some covers that will never quite match the interior.

Plastic, on the other hand, is a piece of cake.

Edit: I should mention I've only done this on '97 and '03 Wranglers, a '07 Corolla, and a '08 Mercedes E350. First two looked great, second two not so much.

Re: Sunvisor airbag stickers

I have an all black interior so those sunvisor tags were driving me crazy. Took the advice of another member here (08Hemi, I think), and just put a piece of black carbon fiber vinyl over them. Although not as nice as having nothing, looks a lot better than the white tags and doesn't draw my attention anymore. Was a nice easy solution.

Mine all black too.... Think I'll try to find a country that doesn't have those stickers and just buy new sun visors. Probably easier said than done.

I did this on a 2010 BMW M3 I had years ago and though they looked great, I think they cost over $300.00. I bet the visors for the Jeep would be about the same.

FYI, just saw a review video of the WK2 in India......looked like the visors didn't have any stickers.

Sunvisor airbag stickers

I covered mine up with stick on headliner fabric (color looks way off, but in person it's a 90% match).

I ordered a color sample from sun visor solutions and found one that closest matched. I think I bought one 8x11 sheet and just cut them to fit myself.
